Abstract

A single specimen of Centrogenys vaigiensis (Quoy & Gaimard, 1824) (Centrogenyidae) collected from Mauritius (southwestern Indian Ocean) represents the first record of the species from that region. Previous records were restricted to the eastern Indian and western Pacific oceans (from the Nicobar Islands east to Papua New Guinea, and Australia north to Japan).
