First record of Histiobranchus australis (Regan, 1913) (Synaphobranchidae), from the Azores (northeastern Atlantic Ocean)

Abstract
The occurrence of Histiobranchus australis (Regan, 1913) in the Azores, based on two specimens collected from between 2085-2096 m depth during the BIAÇORES 1971 cruise, is the first record of this species in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean and the northernmost record in the boreal hemisphere.
