New record of the rare flounder Parabothus budkeri (Chabanaud, 1943) (Teleostei: Bothidae) from the Gulf of Aqaba, northern Red Sea, with a key to the genus Parabothus

Budker’s flounder Parabothus budkeri is recorded from the northern Gulf of Aqaba, and described from a specimen collected in Eilat (Israel) in 1951. A detailed description, and the first illustration of this rare species, are provided. The distribution and habitat of P. budkeri are discussed. A key to the species of the genus Parabothus is presented.
Nouvel enregistrement d’un poisson plat rare Parabothus budkeri (Chabanaud, 1943) dans le golfe d’Aqaba, nord de la mer Rouge (Teleostei : Bothidae), avec une clé du genre de Parabothus
Un rombou de Budker Parabothus budkeri a été échantillonné au nord du golfe d’Aqaba et redécrit à partir d’un spécimen pêché à Eilat (Israël) en 1951. Cette redescription fournit des détails précédemment inconnus de la morphologie de cette espèce rare. La distribution et l’habitat de P. budkeri sont discutés. Une clé des espèces du genre de Parabothus est présentée.
