Résumé

Two specimens of marlin sucker Remora osteochir (Cuvier, 1829) were found attached on a Mediterranean spearfish Tetrapturus belone caught in the eastern Adriatic Sea (Croatian coast) with purse seine in December 2020. Species identification was confirmed both morphologically and by genetic barcoding. This finding represents the first record of this species from the Adriatic Sea.
