Résumé

Batrachus uranoscopus Guichenot, 1866 supposedly from Madagascar, is a junior synonym of Thalassophryne maculosa Günther, 1861 from northern South America and should be removed from the IUCN Red List of vulnerable species and from the list of Madagascar ichthyofauna.
