Abstract

Ca2+ had no effect on symmetric flagellar behavior at pH 8.0. Wavelength and amplitude decreased signifi- cantly as a function of time post sperm activation, but number of curvature and waves increased. High concentrations of Ca2+ (2.5 mM) at high alkalinity (pH > 10.0) induced both acrosome reaction and asymmetric flagellar behavior.
