Résumé

A single specimen (17.0 mm in standard length) of Priolepis goldshmidtae Goren & Baranes, 1995, collected at 120 m depth off Okinawa Island, southern Japan, represents the first record of the species from the Pacific Ocean. The species was previously only known from the original description, and being regarded as an endemic Red Sea species.
