Lamprey larvae were recently caught for the first time in a little French Catalan river, the Têt. The morphological and molecular identification demonstrated that these ammocoetes belong to the complex [Lampetra fluviatilis / Lampetra planeri]. As lampreys and their spawning beds are protected in France, this study will have an impact on the management of the Têt River.
