First record of the freshwater bream, Abramis brama in the river Mala Neretva, Adriatic drainage system of Croatia

Abstract

On 17 April 2010, one specimen (m) of freshwater bream (total length TL = 43.8 cm, weight W = 1046.8 g) was captured with a trammel net near the settlement Mihalj, Mala Neretva River (Adriatic drainage system of Croatia). This is the first record of the freshwater bream in this river and consequently for the Adriatic drainage system as a whole.
