Résumé

We have studied melatonin binding sites in the brain of the tropical catfish O. sifontesi using in vitro autoradiography and receptor binding assay. Specific binding was found in brain areas involved in the processing of visual information and in the pituitary. Binding was saturable around 150 pM. KD and Bmax were calculated.
