Résumé

A single specimen of the zebra goby, Zebrus zebrus (Risso, 1826) was collected in the Black Sea. This finding is the first record in this area and it greatly increases the distribution of this species, previously considered a Mediterranean species only. The first use of anaesthetic during SCUBA diving for ichthyological collecting in the Black Sea proved to be a useful technique.
