Résumé
A molecular identification via DNA barcoding (COImarker, 651 bp) was done on a minnow caught in the Rupt de Mad stream at Essey-et-Maizerais (Rhine/Moselle catchment). Accordingly, the specimen belongs to the recently revalidatedPhoxinus csikiiHankó, 1922. It is the first record of this species in France, and the fourth minnow species known in this country.
