Résumé

The occurrence of Histiobranchus australis (Regan, 1913) in the Azores, based on two specimens collected from between 2085-2096 m depth during the BIAÇORES 1971 cruise, is the first record of this species in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean and the northernmost record in the boreal hemisphere.
