Résumé

The authors have tested the effects of different volumes of hypotonic solution combined with two different fixative treatments on kidney cells of two fish species, Silurus glanis and Scardinius erythrophthalmus. They conclude that chromosome spreading is highly dependent on the volume of hypotonic solution regardless of prefixation procedure.
