Growth of Boops boops (L.), from the central Adriatic, was studied. Mean length-at-age values were estimated from otoliths and analysis of polymodal length frequency distributions. Growth pattern was well described by von Bertalanffy growth equation. Growth parameters L∞ = 338.89 mm, K = 0.167 and t0 = –1.296 were calculated.
