Résumé

As part of an overall revision of the Asian Clarias catfish species, evidence is provided demonstrating that the four syntypes of C. macrocephalus originally described from Thailand and presently an economically important freshwater fish species in South-East Asia, include two species. Two of them are designated lectotype and paralectotype of C. macrocephalus, while the two others are referred to the C. batrachus species complex. A redescription of C. macrocephalus is given.
