Résumé

The capture of a mature male of Sebastes mentella off the Galician coast, northern Spain is reported. This record represents the most southerly record for this species in the north-eastern Atlantic. Its presence could be a case of vagrancy from the Irminger Sea related to the reproduction migrations of this species.
