Résumé

A specimen of African striped grunt Parapristipoma octolineatum was observed on the French part of the Bay of Biscay. This is the first and the most northern record of this species in the Northeastern Atlantic. Moreover, no specimen of this family was ever listed in this geographical area. Repeated observations of the same individual during the three consecutive past years in summer (2013-2015), suggest its adaptation to environmental conditions of this area.
