Résumé

The presence of the Centracanthus cirrus Rafinesque, 1810 in the West part of the Sea of Marmara, on 1000 m depth, was reported on the base of the capture of one female of 116 mm standard length. The fish was caught using a beam-trawl deployed on the coast of Uçmakdere (Sea of Marmara). This is the first reliable record in the Sea of Marmara and new depth extension for this species.
