Résumé
A recent publication described the finding of a specimen of Mobula mobular in the Adriatic Sea and stated that it represented “the first documented occurrence” of this fish in this sea (Scacco et al., 2009). However, the presence of M. mobular in the Adriatic Sea was already well-known. A list of the many Adriatic records and reports on this chondrichthyan species is given.
